+ Sculpt & Paint: The Max Gokin is absolutely anime-accurate. The muscular, bulky but dynamic Godannar is replicated very good by Max Watanabe-sensei. The painting is also immaculate. The metallic paint is glossy and actually very durable. The clear red portion on the chest is a beautiful touch. The figure has presence too, standing over 20 cm (8 inches) and weight 476 gram. It feels very hefty in your hands (even if you have gorilla palms).

+ Articulation & Posing: The Max Gokin isn't actually the most posable robot figure out there, but is essentially the only action figure of Godannar (because Bandai cancelled the Super Robot Chogokin). However, it still got quite good bend on the arms and nice thighs movements. It can pull off most standing poses from the anime (except the kneeling ones). Unfortunately, the "Soul Breaker" pose is very unnatural. Overall, it is decent, but definitely could be better.

+ Accessories & Gimmicks: This is where Godannar shines! Being a martial artist, Godannar comes with 4 pairs of hands, 2 hair effect parts (red and blue), the display stand and last but not least, the Celeblader Sword! This sword is HUGE! And it's bigger than a sashimi knife. The blade isn't sharp but the tip is pointy so you should be careful. The figure also comes with a fixed sword holding hand for better stability. Godannar holding the sword will be the most intimidating piece on your shelf. The accessories can plug into the base so it's convenient.

+ Conclusion: The Max Gokin Godannar is a must-have for Godannar fans. Simply because there's no other options for an action figure of him and the massive presence of this figure. It is fun to handle (although you need some care) and great to display!
