MECHA FIGURE REVIEW: RIOBOT GURREN LAGANN

    + Overview: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the definitive modern piece of hot-blooded mecha action. It delivers emotional speech, awesome combat, massive interstellar battles and above all: the Drill to pierce the heavens. Therefore, Sentinel has given us the Riobot Gurren Lagann with all the finese of the line. 

    + Appearance: Sentinel paintjob is superb on this guy. The glossy bright red and the darker shade goes well together. The metallic gray and gold helps accentuate the figure even more. From a glance, the figure looks premium even though it doesn't have any die-cast inside. Sentinel's sculpt of the Gurren Lagann is also well-proportioned and dynamic. They also include 2 faces (1 normal, 1 shouting) which also are sculpted very clean. 

    + Articulation: Sentinel's Riobot line is famous for their insane posability, and Gurren Lagann is no exception. Wide neck range, shoulders and arms can raise all the way up, double jointed elbow, double jointed knee (completed with awesome moving panels), ball-jointed chest (with eye-moving gimmicks where the chest eyes follow the head) and overall ease of posing, the Riobot Sentinel can pull off any pose you can think off. 

    + Accessories: A robot isn't completed without its weapons, and in Gurren Lagann's case, it's DRILLS! You got practically everything you need that is in the show: 1 long drills, 2 medium drills, 2 glasses boomerang, 2 wrist drills, the Gurren Wings, 3 pairs of hands and a display base. The amount of accessories can keep you entertained for hours. 

    + Cons: well, nothing's perfect. But this figure's downside is exceptionally minimal. It is small, and full plastic, which is quite a letdown since it comes with quite a price tag. Otherwise, there is not much issue with him. 

    + Conclusion: The Riobot Gurren Lagann is a definitive figure for Gurren Lagann lovers. It contains everything one might need in a robot figure in general and Gurren Lagann respectively. The playability is huge and collection value is massive. The engineering and thoughts went into this figure makes it worth the purchase. Final score: 9/10.
